A Mediated Truth

Everybody’s got it. It’s that little voice in your head that says, “Hey! This may hurt someone else while I gain. Am I ok with that?” Obviously in a capitalist society, someone’s going to get hurt, but as someone who considers themselves as part of the modern Talented Tenth (DuBois), I cannot condone the pain of others for personal gain. Mostly because what you do for yourself dies with you, but what you do for others and society lives on.

Is your existence valuable? At the very least it should be non-destructive.
