All around good band. Last night at the TLA had a great light show, and they didn’t just play their songs, they melded them. There were ambient sections and some twangy rock parts, and best of all the ‘wall of sound’—as I like to call it—when all of your ear cilia are engaged and overloading and everything’s just thumping: there’s no way not to dance. Even some young girl’s dad was dancing.
But what kind of music do they make? As Ben always replies, “Its tasteful electronica dance,” (::blank stare::), “Swedish Passion Pit.” They just have some real heavy bass and synths at some points, and sometimes its only piano and signing. Hard to describe, but not for your ear to understand. I like that.
